Buddy the Bunny is a free pattern available at Mack and Mabel.
I made him recently for a friend expecting her third baby. We knew the baby was going to be a boy but I chose yellow just in case.
Since you have to make two of everything (arms, legs, ears), I chose to knit them in one go – two pieces on the same needle. It goes much faster this way!
You knit the body all in one piece, decreasing at the top on each side. Fold it in half to get the shaped head.
Stitch on scraps of felt to make his face. A love heart shape is a cute touch for his mouth.
Once all the pieces are knit, you stuff softly then stitch together.
I put Buddy together in a weekend. It was a quick knit and a lovely pattern. Minimal effort for maximum impact – Buddy is pretty cute!
